Can you believe how fast the month of May went? Since time flies by so quickly I decided to spend some time at the end of each month doing a little recap of some of the fun things I did, experienced, saw or just really liked during that month. Because let’s face it…the older I get, the harder it is to remember day-to-day things! We can all relate to this right? And it’s nice to look back and appreciate all the of the good things around us every now and then.
Here are some of my May favorites…
Spring is one of my favorite seasons! I love when everything starts to bloom…I only wish it could stay this way a little longer. The trees in our front yard are so gorgeous in bloom. And this was a particularly gorgeous evening in general!
Paul, one of my best friend’s turned the big 3-0 in April. To celebrate his birthday he wanted to play bingo in May. Is that a sign that we are getting old? Anyways, what the birthday boy wants, the birthday boy gets! Unfortunately, none of us won anything worthwhile, but it was a good time.
I’m still getting into this “social media thing”. I had my first retweet this month…yay! Thanks Rust-Oleum! You can follow me on Twitter here @theblueeyeddove 🙂
I may have gotten a little too excited when I saw my local grocery store now sells BLK Beverages!! For those of you that don’t know what this is check out the Real Housewives of New Jersey seasons 4 & 5 (It is a product the Manzo boys sell) 🙂 And the BLK Beverages taste amazing!
And speaking of the Real Housewives of New Jersey I found out season 6 starts in July. YAY!! I have missed having these ladies in my life. New Jersey Housewives are my fav! Although, it will be weird without Caroline, Jacqueline and Kathy. But I’m thrilled to have Dina back!
My 89 year-old Grandma killed me in dominoes! Well, we actually haven’t finished our game yet, but she is at least 100 points ahead of me still! Dominoes is a long game. But a super fun game to play with her 🙂
And my Monday nights just got a little bit better because of this guy (Josh) on The Bachelorette! Even the other contestants think he’s hot! I hope Andi keeps him around for a while 🙂
Lastly, I had to say “good-bye for now” to this fun group…my Silver Sneakers Group exercise class. Definitely, not a fun experience for me, but I have been so blessed to work with most of them for the last 8 years!
And some of my favorite posts from this month were:
I’ve got lots of fun things planned for June…stay tuned!
What made your May a special month?
Have a nice weekend!
