home tour

According to the fabulous Lisa Vanderpump (for those of you unfamiliar, she is one of the stars of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) it is a British tradition to name your house.  It adds personality, and let’s just be honest…it’s chic and fun!

Living Room Kitchen 2

Our house (condo) had already taken on the name of the “Purple Palace” before I had even heard of this tradition. As you can guess I was thrilled to learn that Lisa Vanderpump and I have something in common!

Living Room 4

My sister and I live together. We get along great, and it makes perfect sense for us because we share A LOT of stuff. I’m not looking forward to the day when we have to live separately, and my wardrobe will drastically be cut in half! Here’s hoping we will always live close enough to borrow each others clothes 🙂

Living Room

Since we are two girly girls we wanted our place to be just that…pretty girly.

How many times in your life will you be able to have a bright purple kitchen?! I think it’s safe to say we accomplished our mission. I’ll let you be the judge of that though.

Kelli's Room

Unfortunately, this is the only picture I have of sister’s room because she is in the process of redecorating it. I will post some better pictures once it has been completed.  Stay tuned for her new look! (Also note, that night stand to the right, against the wall doesn’t really go there.)

What do you think, is the Purple Palace girly enough? I hope Lisa Vanderpump and I have inspired you to come up with a name for your house!

    • Thanks, Rachel! The wall color is a sample from Porter Paints called Grape Popsicle. I used Behr Ultra Semi Gloss #3753 for the paint. It is the same color in the kitchen, but looks a little different without all the natural light. Glad you liked it 🙂

  8. My daughter loves the colors you have used in your bathroom so I’m trying to replicate. I’m confused however, you say you used 2 paints: the porter paint and a behr. Did you mix them? Or are there actually 2 colors on the walls? Thanks so much.
